Compatibility Notes!
Mid 2013 Rainbow decided to redesign their PN12 nozzle to the new style
nozzle. New style nozzle uses a different brush roll, motor, nozzle
cover, manifold and bottom plate. Please see below for differences
between old and new style nozzles.
Motor:New motor shaft
has grooves in it and is shorter. It can be seen on the right side of
the picture. Old motor shaft is smooth and long.

Bottom Plate:
Manifold:New style power nozzle has belt on the side of the brush roll. Old one has a belt on the middle of the brush roll.
Top Plate:
Brush Roll:Old style brush roll would have the belt in the middle of the brush roll. New style has it on the side.

To take this cover of the nozzle:
1. Take the bottom plate of (piece covering brush roll.
2. On the bottom next to wheels you will see 2 big plastic tabs that go
through the bottom piece and lock the cover onto it. Take a large flat
screwdriver and push one tab away from the wheel and towards the middle
of the nozzle. It will release one side of the cover. Push the tab a bit
down so it stays unlocked.
3. Do it with another tab and this should release the cover.
