New design BLACK E2 series Rainbow vacuum nozzle

MODIFIED to fit:
E series Rainbow vacuum (1 speed )
E2 series Rainbow vacuum ( 2 speed GOLD )
E2 series Rainbow vacuum ( 2 speed PLATINUM / SILVER / BLUE )

Since the cord has been installed it will no longer work with BLACK Rainbow model that came out May 2011

This design has been out there since May 2011 when new Rainbow E2 BLACK model 12 came out.
Nozzle is very air tight thus not loosing any suction due to gaps between parts. So whatever airflow is generated by the vacuum motor is all put to work

Design
(Since below description was made Rainbow came up with another design where the belt goes through the end of the roller. You will be getting that newer design when you order this nozzle)

	Much larger bumper to save your protect your furniture. Bright LED headlight for dark corners. Rotating edge brushes. It is very well insulated / sealed construction so no more loss of suction through structural gaps that were inevitable in prior design.
	If you have ever seen another Rainbow vacuum you may notice that it looks totally different from the bottom. Bottom plate covering brush roller and the belt is latched onto the nozzle in 4 places and then it is locked by a small plastic dial near the right wheel. Wheels covered with rubber or rubber-like material making them safe on hard surface floors. In the front of the nozzle you see round edge brushes on each side and YES they are spinning and brushing towards the center of the nozzle while you are vacuuming. As spare part these round brushes are available with longer or shorter bristles. All parts just snap together and is held with tabs. Only screws used in the entire assembly (not counting motor) are ones in the center of the edge brushes. Well thought through design that is very easy to take apart and put back together. There are no front wheels anymore but the edge brushes and brush roll bristles keep the bottom of the nozzle above the hard surface floors so it is safe using it hardwood floor as the plastic bottom would not touch it. When nozzle is on the carpet bristles sink into the rug by a fraction of an inch bringing intake closer to the rug. Belt is 3/16 of an inch wider than regular Rainbow belt but seems to be the same diameter and made out of the same material. It may be wider because with side edge brushes it needs a bit more torques and it may result in need to replace regular belts more often than the new wider belt. Bristles on the both sides of roller are positioned at different angle. This may be done to reduce nozzle jumping over a carpet. no more switching tools in order to get edges of the rug vacuumed.
	Rotating brushes get the momentum from the worm-gear on each end of the wood brush roller spinning gear with attached to it circular edge brush. Worm-gears have opposing threads so both edge bristles are spinning opposite direction brushing towards the center of the nozzle.
	Circuit board with 9 LED micro lights. Power to the motor is supplied through the board but this is probably to just to eliminate the need for extra harness, plugs and terminals. Nozzle motor is still using the same power as in your house electrical outlets.
	ONLY part that remains the same as in prior model Rainbow vacuum nozzle. Noise dampening - 2 rubber rings that go on around the motor and one rubber boot that is placed in the front of the motor when installing in the nozzle. This will reduce the vibration passed onto the nozzle assembly so nozzle will be less noisy.
	Pivot arm - it has built in swivel that swivels 180 degrees. Built in wand release (light gray part in the picture) - you do not have to bend down to release the wand from the pivot. All you have to do now id press the pedal with your foot and it will release the wand so you can pull it out
	And last but not least - bottom cover portion that forms the intake compartment housing the bush roller goes 1/4 of an inch into the main housing making sealing it off. There plenty of space for dust bunnies to go through so it is very unlikely to clog.

Great upgrade for blue e2	January 1, 2016

I bought this new Power Nozzle for my 2009 blue e2 & am surprised about the improved airflow compared to the blue PN-2E. Mine has the belt on the side, which means not having to worry about hair/thread wrapping around the belt shaft or breaking/slipping belt. I also like the spinning edge clean brushes because I don't have to use the crevice tool or move furniture; & it gets out the deep-down dirt I couldn't get out with the blue PN-2E. The new style PN-12 has a long-lasting, non-slip serpentine V belt which is less likely to break/stretch than rubber belts, which is what my PN-2E uses. Only downside is I have to change the water more often with this PN-12 than when I used the PN-2E because this nozzle picks up more dirt from my 1970s shag wall-to-wall carpet. The carpet now looks like new, thanks to this Power Nozzle

I just got this new nozzle and really like it. Grooms the carpet beautifully and using it is much easier than the older style. The swivel at the head makes navigation much easier. Love the lights and edge brushes. It also seems to clean a bit better than the one I had (orig E series nozzle)
